You Can’t Out Train a Bad Diet

Movement is important, but it doesn’t replace the role of balanced meals and regular eating.

Food and exercise work best when they’re working together, not one trying to make up for the other.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see you?

You can book in directly as a private client. Some people come to us after chatting with their GP, but it’s totally fine to self-refer. If you’re not sure how to start, just give us a call - we’ll walk you through it.

Can I claim through Medicare or private health?

Sometimes, yes. If your GP has given you a Chronic Disease Management plan (used to be called an EPC), you can claim back part of the appointment fee through Medicare rebates. If you’ve got extras cover, your private health fund might provide a rebate for part of the appointment fee. We’ll help you figure it out - just ask.

What do you actually do in a session?

It depends on what you need, but it always starts with discussion. We’ll explore what food feels like for you - what’s working, what’s tricky, what you want help with. From there, we’ll build a plan together that’s doable in real life, not just on paper. Any resources or recommendations will be emailed to you in a summary after the appointment. Personalised, comprehensive nutrition plans are an optional extra service which can be developed by your dietitian after the initial appointment.

Can you help even if I don’t have a “diagnosis”?

Absolutely. You don’t need a diagnosis to deserve support. Maybe food feels confusing and you're not sure what you should be eating. Maybe your hunger levels are all over the place or you feel anxious and guilty around food. Maybe you just want to feel better in your body. Whatever it is, we’ll meet you where you’re at and go from there.

What if I’ve seen a dietitian before and it wasn’t helpful?

You’re not alone. Lots of people come to us after not-so-great experiences. We do things differently here - more listening, less lecturing. No food rules, no pressure. Just real support that fits into your life.

Come As You Are

We Listen Before We Plan

What does a private session look like?

It starts with conversation. No awkward weigh-ins. No being told which foods to cut out. Just a relaxed chat about your health, your routine, and what you want from food. Then we figure out a nutrition plan that actually works for your life.

That might include:

  • Planning healthy meals and snacks to keep you on track when life gets busy

  • Managing diabetes or high cholesterol without overhauling your entire diet

  • Making peace with food after years of stress and anxiety around your relationship with food

  • Working out what to eat when everything feels overwhelming

  • Understanding what’s going on with your gut and whether you might have food sensitivities

Sometimes it’s about symptom control.

Sometimes it’s about healing your relationship with food. Sometimes it’s about letting go of guilt and preoccupation with food.

Either way, our focus stays on finding a way of eating that feels right for you.

Food Support That Is All About You

We’re not here to hand out diet rules or strict meal plans you’ll never follow. We start from where you're ready - and build from there with a compassionate approach.

Fruit’s Not ‘Too Sugary’ - That’s a Myth

Whole fruit comes with fibre, water and nutrients that help the body process natural sugars slowly.

Unless it’s causing discomfort, there’s no need to cut out fruit from a balanced day of eating.
